In this article, Udemy reports on the results of its survey of 263 L&D managers and 425 employees at organizations globally in July 2017 to better understand the learning challenges and motivations of employees. What they discovered were 4 key workplace learning moments that drive employees to learn. Their assertion is that if L&D organizations truly understand what motivates employees to engage in learning, this insight puts L&D in a stronger position to deliver what is needed (as stipulated by the learners's goals) and not waste time, money or effort on 'learning solutions' that do not align to learner needs and goals or business results.
